Hi Dear All at AAA, Proset Tassew....Keep Up the Good Work!

Last April my 13 year old Chiuaua dog passed away. She was my baby.... I could' nt stick the void she left behind. There was never a time when we did not have a dog or two at home.

A few days later after Sosa was gone, on a Saturday afternoon, we went to the AAA Msida garage and adopted puppy Bud, who is doing very well at home. "Don't breed or buy while stray animals die". Baby Bud is the baby of the whole family. He is so intelligent, affectionate and playful. He is a happy go luck chap.... Besides he was already house trained. I adore him.... he can't wait for me to return back from work to take him for the daily long walk.....

I would just like to thank Freddie for letting BUONO come into our lives about 7 months ago. He is such an adorable lovely black dog. He's a real menace but so cute and so lovable and fills my dad's and my life with love. I am always full of bruises because of him but it's worth it and it is always a good feeling knowing that I will be returning home everyday to have him greet me with his licks and kisses!  Hi All. Up to the 28th March 2005 I was dog's worst enemy. I'm ashamed to
say that I hated even their smell. Until the above day when I elder son
 brought a cross-breed puppy from the grounds of Malta Shipbuilding. My
first comment was that I were to throw it away in an adjacent field but my
son promised me that it was only for one day because he intended to take
 it to his fiancee. When late evening arrived I asked how was it that the
puppy was still there. My son's answer was, that he could not take the dog
to his fiancee because on that they he was on night duty.
 From that day onwards, Rusty (rusty colour mongrel cross breed Labrador &
 tal-fenek) never left my heart, my mind, my blood. Our lives somersaulted.
St.Paul's conversion to Christianity was nothing compared to my love
 towards dogs. Now my heart aches even by seeing a homeless dog running in
the streets.
MY APOLOGIES TO ALL DOGS (AND OTHER ANIMALS) FOR POSPONING MY LOVE TOWARDS
THESE CREATURES FOR OVER 55YERS. But they say, its never too late!!

Hi,first and formost i want to say god bless all the volountiers at AAA, as without them giving a bit of their spare time such a place will not exist, and as an animal lover i know how my those golden hearted andmals appreciate the love they are recieving.
i know its out of place but i really need help for a stray cat.
I found this cute cat about three weeks ago that could hardly walk due to starvation, so i took her home. Now she has become qiute robust and joyfull. She's about five to six months old i guess, but i can't keep her, even though she settled well with my german shepard, which was also a abandoned dog, i have severe problems with landlord about animal keeping. Pls if anyone can be kind and give her a loving home or if not, if there is anyone whom can help me nutere her before i put her back in a safe street enviroment which she loves a lot, even though against my desires. Pls any kind of helpwould be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

PLS, would also like to bring to notice that a lot of people with big hearts and animal lovers would like to adopt a dag or a cat and make a a family comlete but cant due that even in long let properties (rent or lease) animals are not allowed. Can anything pls be done in the future about such a thing?

i am lucky to say, we adopt one of the lovely dog from the sanctuary.
her name was Bezzula, but..........we call her Guzzy. She is over 8 years and is a good partner to our 11 year old Alex, which's girlfriend diet last year after 10 years partnership.
He missed her a lot, but now he is happy again with this lovely tornado.

My god, I'm so impressed with your website! Oh, I'm Els from belgium and I was looking around what's to see in Malta and ended up at your site. I used to work as a volunteer in the shelter when I was 13 years old, spend all my school holidays there and it was the best time of my life! I took a mistreated dog home, she was very good to our family but only trusted us. She had a good life and became 18 years old. Now, I still have a dog at home, he's name is Sammy and 10 years old. he's also abandoned and we make eachother very happy.
I can see you make a lot of work to tell where the dogs came from, I can see you do the work with all your heart!!!

hello i heard you say that a pitbull is a dangerous brred. well you are all rong. i have a pitbull and hes lovely!! they are very nice dogs!!! i dont think you hear the dangerous accedents on onther dogs. examples labradors, pomaranian,alaskan,boxers... and yet in a 7 year study pitbulls accounted only 1.89 of total atacks german shepards and labradors were statistically more severe!!!!!

I would like to express my thanks to Romina & Carl for helping me out last Saturday 6th May with a really sweet dog which was hit by a car whose driver just kept on driving - leaving it lying in the middle of the road still alive and in need of care, risking also the lives of other people as yet another accident could have been caused.

I'm a weekly helper and come with Romina to the sanctuary. Every time I go I can see in what stress you all are. You require some help. So I came to a wonderful idea: These days I'm making an album (Soft Dance mostly) for animals and the idea was that the money I receive (Lm2 each CD) goes ALL to the AAA. Comments: Keep up the good work that you have done already. Many people tend to be cruel and unhearted to defensless yet lovingly & sweet dogs & cats like these & the ones that are lost anywhere. It is a wonderful thing to make these cruel people aware of their unforgiving nasty actions towards these animals. they should know that these animals need love, care, security and support. They must know that they are not garbage bags that can be thrown out whenever they feel like, but these animals do have a heart and do have feelings, and thus treating them like that will make them more worse, and that's not the way people, especially people who think that they have a heart do. When I see an abondoned dog or cat in the street, my heart really sinks and would like to do anything to take it at home but due to my circumstance I could not, at the moment. But I hope that you will track all these animals and give them all the love and care that they really deserve. I would like to contribute and I hope that one day there will be no abondoned dog or cat walking by, but I hope that ane day all these animals will be happy and loved as they should be. Well done to Alfred and his friends the helpers.I will never forget the incident that brought me to know Alfred's love for animals.It was March 1990.I was a proud owner of Rasco and Twinkle first imported miniture Scnauzers.As near us there was not a lot of traffic(university hights)I use to let my dogs run free for 15 minutes in the morning in the fields infront of our house.I heard a knock at my door,and I found Freddie.He asked me if my scnauzers were home and I told him they are in the fields I go get them.He said they are in Ta Xbiex near the yaughts and he went running and got them back home for me.Incredible Alfred saved thier lives and for that I will thank him forever,That day I learnt my lesson.Never leave a dog outside unattended.Thanks Alfred

Malta needs desperately to improve its treatment of all animals. Your organisation is helping so much and if there is anything I can do to assist you with, in a administration way, please contact me. I have an up to date computer and am willing to donate my time to you if it would help. Can we also campaign for pet shops to be tightly monitored, the conditions are dreadful in many of the stores I visit, especially lack of food, water, not to mention the dirt the caged animals have to live in.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful work you are doing with all those beautiful angels you have at the sanctuary, and with all the aboandoned children you come across daily. I have a fox terrier which my husband and I bumped into, in streets in Sannat Gozo back in August 2000. Part of his nose was missing,he was very malnourished and extremely sick. So sick that he couldn't even bark. We were doubtful if he was gonna make it through. But with a lot of medication, attention and most of all a lot of love he turned into a fine healthy dog. There was always a dog in my husband's family but I never had one before. He's my first dog and honestly I can say that he is the most precious being that I have in my life. The love I receive back from Prince is simply unimaginable and no human on earth can ever offer such love. I only wish I didn't live in a flat. If I lived in a house with a garden I would have taken more dogs in and Prince would have a larger playground. But as long as I still live in a flat I can only handle Prince and give him all the love and attention he needs.

First of all thank you for the great job you are doing. I just bought one of those booklets to help the association and the cute dogs. I am thinking also of adopting a dog and I would encourage animal lovers to do the same. With just LM12 per year you could save the life of a loving dog. Would like to congratulate you on a super website. Having recently seen with my own eyes the terrible acts of cruelty inflicted on the dogs and cats in Malta it makes me feel ashamed to admit that I am Maltese. Why the powers that be of such a proud nation allow some of its people to carry out such cruelty is beyond me. I would pararell this cruelty on the same level of distress that I have expereinced as a firfighter in the UK with some 27 years service. The positive side of course is the large number of genuine people both Maltese and those of other nations who are working together in a common cause to simply help to bring the misery to the animals to an end. At the office my coleages found a small female dog in rabat which was run over by a car or truck. She had a broken hip joint. I took her to the vet and had to be operated. The op itself cost us Lm50.00 which I myself,my coleages and some of our clients donated money. In three days we got her operated and now she's here with us. Two weeks ago she had eight beautiful puppies which I'm taking care off against my directors decision. today they`re still here but in few weeks time I have to let them go. Where I do not know. Hi I am Christine I am a BIG ANIMAL LOVER if I have a bigger house it will be full of animals especially dogs and cats but unfortunatly I live in a flat, and the flat is my parents flats. All my family loves animals . We have two cats which are amazing and 1 dog as she is very lovely , I feel them part of me like they are kids not animlas. I have 3 birds aswell. From here I would like to thank all those people like AAA who have the courage and the time to dedicate with these poor animals who will be left in the middle of the roads without nothing like the most important things the FOOD AND A GOOD ROOF TO. Imagine you will be left outside a road with nothing not even a few cents in your pocket, or without clothes. Maybe you have some sense to go and knock the door or cry for help, an animal could not do that. We have to help him. I would like to Pray GOD to put his hands down on these people to continue in helping these animals in these needs. Sometimes I talk to my pets and say to them you are very lucky to have a good home and much people that loves them a lot. But infortunatly not all animals are lucky enough. I would like to give a suggestion , can these people like AAA and the other assosations can join together and make a marathon like ISTRINA to collect money , even if you make sms start few cents ie : 50c per sms. I think outside there are lot of people even teenagers who would like to help. In maltese we say BIL-QATRA IL-QATRA TIMTELA IL-GARRA. That why you start the sms with a little so almost everyone can affort to send an sms of 50c. Hope someday these poor animals will be treated better. If any one needs my help to help these animals we can join and help them, they really need us. Thanks and GOD BLESS ANY ONE WHO LOVES AND HELP THESE ANIMALS.

Hello :o) if you are reading this page it means 1 of 2 things, either you are curious of the AAA or u are an animal lover like me :o) The volunteers at the AAA DESPERATELY need OUR help for the petition to request to the government, to consider opening an AMIMAL HOSPITAL!!!! If we dont ALL help it will never happen!! What they need is for YOU to go on the PETITION form and print it out and get as many people to sign as you possible can! In just 2 weeks i have managed to got over 700 people in Malta to sign, for me that is a great achievment, i will make sure that i will give them 1,000 signed petition papers! If you have a good heart towards these defenesless animals who love us so much,please do your part by getting signatures, then we could all lookforward to a future hospital which the Maltese need so much!

Hi everyone :o)! About 5 months ago I was watching the TV at 11pm, and there were 5 puppys for adoption,they were just a few week old and were found in a skip! Me and my friend drove up to the TV show and chose a cute boney black puppy. I named her Sosy. Now after 5 months of love and caring her, she is 14 kilos. Althought sometimes she is a bit naughty we love her very much. Thanks to the AAA volunteers because if it was not for them we would not have Sosy, she filled up our home with joy.

Hi everyone, please go and visit our sanctuary in luqa, and if you have old towels, sheets, etc, please take them with you cos we re always in need of clean cloths to put the puppies on or for the other dogs to sleep on. We also need dog toys, also plastic balls etc so that the dogs have something to play with, they will greatly appriciate it and they with show you that with their affection when you re there. Dear Friends, We would like to thank all of who visited the sanctuary last Sunday. The dogs loved the attention and the people who played with them. I could see their happy faces. They just love to be cuddled & played with! Thanks for getting them biscuits. We don't afford them, and thanks for your donations. Our work is little to what there is to do. Freddie, our founder does all the work. He rescues animals from dusk till dawn and I can vouch for that. I did spend some days with him. His phone rings all the time. He gave his life to animals. WELL DONE to the AAA. You are doing a great job in aid of abused animals and consequently in aid of our society. Providing a home for the poor animals who often fall victims of human cruelty is good in itself. Educating people NOT to maltreat the animals is even better. We are writing in the hope that an animal lover will be able to help us trace the owners of a beige cat, rescued from a water filled ditch on 30 Jan. The cat is a fully grown male, beige colour, short haired and was wearing a collar with bell. We did not find the dog ourselves so we do not know the exact locality where he was found but suspect it was somewhere in the south. hi everybody at AAA' My name is Marisa and I would like to tell Freddy that I think he is an angel walking the earth to protect and help abandoned animals.I don't know how many times I have asked for his help when finding a dog that ws hit by a car or left to fend on their own and he was always there to help.My dog Daisy which I brought from the SPCA after seeing her in the Malta Independent has recently passed away and I was heartbroken as I thought why is it that I love and take care of an animal it dies and then you see dogs that are mistreated and they live.On the 10th of Febuary I will be going to open day so I can give another loving dog a home. Hi, I am a student in Edinburgh researching about Valletta, I'm specially interested in the ditch separating Valletta and Floriana. Following my visit in Vellatta, I can't help but noticing the strange gathering of many aggressive dogs on the west end of the ditch - the side facing Manoel Island. Noises of dogs barking echos in the St Michael's Counter guard- there appears to be loads of them in the building! - does anyone know what those dogs are there for.
